So I am writing this post for myself primarily as I find it a lot easier to concentrate on my PC than on my phone, more static :) Not sure if I can edit this post after I post but I hope so, because I'd like to add more goals as I think of them. They tend to just present themselves out of the blue... like oh yeah I wanna do that, or I should definitely cut that out of my life. So here goes, feel free and I hope you do add your own goals to this: Lose weight So this has been a goal that's followed me throughout my life but obviously always failed at it. Like I eluded to in the group failure used to be greeted with an "ah fuck it!" and I would just give up. The puppy analogy was such an apt one. So for this I'm just going to make small changes, with no specific goal and see where that takes me. In order to achieve this I will: Brisk walk everywhere Eat consciously, only sat down with cutlery Complete the fitness & nutrition course I recently bought and apply what I learn to my dietary choices. Eliminate lifts and escalators from my vocabulary Aim to do at least one Sport session (I despise Gyms) a week: eg. Padel, Volleyball, Badminton (If anyone wants to join me in this give me a shout) Work on finding my Ikigai (Career sweet spot) Find alternative avenues of income & revenue - teaching/writing Go part-time or even quit my current employment Review and revise my LinkedIn page Have a portfolio website of previous work Speak Portuguese fluently Watch YouTube videos daily in Portuguese with English subs Use Duolingo app daily to improve vocabulary Watch TED Talks in Portuguese with portuguese transcript Attend regular language exchanges or tandem Take Portuguese lessons Limit time on phone and social media DO NOT use phone whilst walking (pocket it) DO NOT use phone whilst other people are talking - It's fucking anti-social! DO NOT use the phone on commute to work unless to practice Portuguese When on PC - spend the time going through To Do list. Make better use of my free time Read 12 books in a year (6 fiction/6 non-fiction) Visit 6 places in Portugal and/or beyond Improve drawing skills Write 1 short story a week Write 1 article a week I will likely add more to this as we go, and perhaps revise it a little. If you've any ideas on better phrasing, tips on focus in regards to any aspects of the above or any ideas whatsoever then please post your thoughts.

Thank you for sharing this in such an inspiring way. Loved it! I think listening to Portuguese music with lyrics can also be a fun way to learn. Here is a suggestion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSolD8x5HfY
